Bukayo Saka Penalty ignore by VAR champions League Controversial ARSENAL VS BAYERN MUNICH

Bukayo Saka fall in the 18 box of BAYERN MUNICH but not penalty. Arsenal penalty verdict after Bayern Munich Champions League VAR controversy.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich have it all to play for in next week’s Champions League quarter-final second leg, after a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

In a topsy-turvy game, Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for Arsenal before Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane turned it around for Bayern. The Gunners weren’t done, though, with Leandro Trossard scoring an equaliser in the 76th minute.

The game didn’t come without controversy, though. In the dying stages of added time, Saka appeared to be tripped in the penalty area by Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, but the appeals for a penalty were waved away by referee Glenn Nyberg with a VAR check, siding with the on-field decision.

Arsenal were able to do come back and equalize the game for draw.

Second League next week.
