Sterling last minute goal was not accepted

Manchester City have defeated twice in five games as they were held in goalless draw by Southampton at the Etihad Stadium.

After scoring six in their Champions league clash with R.B Leipzig, Pep Guardiola's side only had one shoot on target for the entirety  of their class against the Saint.
Referee decision on Rahim Sterling goal against Southampton today.

Manchester City avoided complete disaster though as a decision to send Kyle Walker .

Guardiola also dismissed the suggestion that the club's failure to sign a new centre-forward in the transfer market was a factor.

"Today we didn't win not because we didn't have a centre-forward," he said.

"We didn't win because our process for the build-up or to give better balls for our players up front was not good.

"When they are good, they can run, arrive in other positions.

"But that's not the reason. The reason is because we didn't do the process for our back four and Fernandinho.

"The five guys who have to bring the ball to the other players, today it was not good."
